button hearts for hearts

I challenge readers and authors to help me donate 50,000 books by the end of 2014, through my Hearts for Hearts Initiative.

And RT 2014 is the PERFECT opportunity to make HUGE headway in our goal.

How do you win $100 for the charity of your choice?

  • Set aside books from the free ones you collect at the 2014 Romantic Times convention in New Orleans, to donate to your community. It costs you nothing!
  • Not going to RT2014? Select books from your personal library to donate, find somewhere in your community to share them, and you’re in!
  • Report what you’ve collected and where you want it to go in your community, on the Anna DeStefano Author FB page or in the comments of this blog post. I’ll be talking more in both places about the Pay It Forward RT Challenge and Hearts for Hearts, from now through the convention.
  • I will choose a randomly selected winner from all who participate. The winner will be announced on the Anna DeStefano Author FB Page, and contacted from FaceBook (or via email, if you comment here), to ask where you’d like your $100 Prize donated!
  • Simple, right?

What an awesome thing you are doing :) … So sorry you lost a friend… I am a member of our local Literacy Volunteers & since Maine is mostly rural, we have a huge % of folks of all ages that can’t read that we give free, confidential one on one tutoring to and still we can’t reach everyone that needs help:( Each passing year our donations have dwindled to where we are barely breaking even with our very modest budget, so every little bit helps us to help those in our communities :) Thank you for offering the chance to possibly win something for a worthy charity!

I need books to read and share with my elderly group for discussion. Then I will take them to my homeless shelter to be used in the lending library! How do I enter to win????? What a blessing this would be…… Oh my this is great!!!! So many people I read to in my elderly group have just gotten books to read for the first time Ina group, thanks to Marie Fostino and a few others. Plus with the homeless shelter and soup kitchen I have volunteered for the last 10 years are learning to read for theirs time!!!! I have donated my whole library of two hundred and eighty -one books I had. We don’t have a library close to Long Creek, they shut our Post office down and incorporated us into Westmi ster,SC. We are lucky if anybody has a car to drive the forty miles one way to Westminster, the only close town with one grocery store and seven stop lights . We just had Mayberry Days as they used our town to film part of Mayberry and the movie Deliverance. We have no factories and you have to be lucky enough to have a car to get a job, factory one thats52 miles away, that is getting ready to close . So what’s blessing this would be!!!!!
