One day can change your life forever… Three days can transform a painful past into a beautiful tomorrow…

Once, Sam Perry had it all. A loving marriage, an amazing job she adored as a preschool teacher, and a beautiful home. She was safe, happy and secure.

Then the unthinkable happened…

Watching his once carefree wife withdraw into herself was almost more than Brian Perry could handle. The only thing that kept him going was knowing that he loved her more than life itself. Moving her out of New York to Chandlerville, a small, quiet suburb of Atlanta, felt right. Anything, to get her away from the memories of the buildings, and her world, crashing around her.

Now, two sons and many years later, Sam cherishes the new life on Mimosa Lane that Brian built for them.

Until lightning strikes twice…

Called a hero by her small community, Sam feels more like a coward than ever. Instinct draws her into an altercation at her children’s school—an instinct that also drives her away from the warm cocoon of her family.

Brian refuses to lose his wife again. He agrees to give her the space she asks for, but he soon realizes space isn’t something they and their children can afford. He knows their love can still conquer all. But this time he’ll need their entire community to help him win his wife back.

You picked a tough subject to write about, and I can’t wait to finish off my Summer, kicking back, and finding out how this story ends!! It’s a very interesting Title, an intriguing one, actually, and I love the cover!! The accolades are starting to come in, so I know I’m going to enjoy it!! Congratulations!!

    • Thanks, Peggy. “Three Days” came to me as a title, because I realized that, while I could have told the story day-by-day from beginning to end, what I wanted was to show how these amazing characters change and shape lives by the key decisions they make, at the moments when they’re faced with either growing or losing the things most dear to them.

The book covers nearly 8 months of time, but I show you only three days (plus the epilogue). What a challenge. But what an amazing result, I hope. Be sure to let me know what you think once you’re done!

Anna, your prior Mimosa Lane book was my favorite of all the books you’ve written. I’m looking forward to reading your latest book.

Also, as I already own a kindle, please let one of your other fans win it.

Alas, I have not read anything in this series. I just came across some info about Three Days on Mimosa Lane, and it sounds like a wonderful story. The cover is just beautiful, makes me think of peace and rest. I am anxious to read the whole series.

Three Days on Mimosa Lane sounds like a wonderful story, one where you can get lost in it. I love your cover, so peaceful. I can hardly wait to put this book on my to read list

    • The covers for this series absolutely blow me away. Montlake has embraced the women’s fiction feel of the stories, and they’ve made the deeper (and hopeful) themes of the books shine through in the beautiful cover work. I’m so lucky that they decided to brand the series this way!

So difficult a topic to conceive. Working in any school means that you have to think about the unthinkable in these difficult times. No one is safe, no place is untouchable. How do people deal with the constant danger and stress? Interesting to see what our authors are writing on these difficult subjects.

    • Marcia–I know exactly what you mean. I was finishing up the draft of this book, when Sandy Hook happened. I was already fighting to give my 9-11 survivor heroine a heroes ending, and the school shooting in the book was already crafted and mostly written to it’s HEA conclusion, when the news from a similar, real-life tragedy hit. I got chills. I considered changing the story. I spoke with my publishing partners. And then I wrote onward, hoping I was doing these remarkable professionals and families justice. I can’t say enough how much I admire our teachers and all the amazing people who help care for and shape the lives of our precious children.

I’m in the middle of reading it and I’ve cried-I’m not rushing to read it but savoring in the story. Thank you. I’m looking forward to reading Christmas on Mimosa Lane toward the holiday season

    • Jennifer, I can’t tell you how much your comments mean to me! I promise that Sam and Brian’s HEA won’t disappoint. I’m in awe of their journey, too, and the amazing way they and their community and their boys are there for each other, right up to the very end. It was so hard for me to let them go, once the story was done. I’m thrilled you’re finding something you love, too.

  8. Darci says:
