Shoes Are My Heroin: DFWCon Shoe Cam. Be there!

On the lighter side of things, Jenni and I are, as it turns out, both teaching at the same conference later this month. The Dallas Fort Worth Writers Con. And, as it turns out, we’re both shoe addicts. So on Twitter yesterday, of course I committed us to doing a DFWcon Shoe Cam ;o) In addition to tweeting all the great craft and industry news from the event, we’ll be flashing pics of the hottest footwear we can find!

It’s not my fault. She practically dared me into it with this taunting pic of her newest purchase  for the con–

jenni's shoe

In response to which any self-respecting shoe addict (like me) would be compelled to raise the stakes by promising to pack my leopard print Stuart Weitzmans:

And just in case I need something a little less “let’s party!” there are my python pumps. Well, they’re sort of pumps:

Who will win the throw down? Who will snap the most excellent shot of conference attendee footwear? You be the judge. Follow us on Twitter at DFWCon Feb. 26-27.

Yes, there will be craft and publishing tweets, too. We’re planning to blog about the publishing/writing side of things. But you don’t want to miss the shoes, right? A Twitter shoe grudge match. What’s not to love about that ;o)

Follow Jenni (@JenniHolbrook) and me (@AnnaDeStefano) deeper into our addiction that week, and decide for yourself who’s gams rock the loudest. As long as you have fun with our insanity (and pick me in the end) the more the merrier!

  1. I thought I posted a response earlier today….it must have trampled on by all these lovely shoes!

Um, this isn’t my fault. It’s all your fault. You are the one that keeps dragging me to the mall when I see you…just saying.

My daughter loves shoes. Some people collect stamps, my daughter collects shoes.LOL

    • My daughter has an obsession with sneakers. Not just any sneakers, but ones she personally designed on line to have the exact colors she wants. We get emailed links all the time from the starving college students who has to walk across campus to her class and needs more than a couple good pairs of sneakers!

Let the contest begin. I love shoes but tend to go for practical. Shame on me.

  4. Oh goodness, now I need to go find some kind of crazy hot footwear for the conference–at least that is what I will tell my husband (two of the teachers there are making me do it!) Darn. :-)

    • Anna says:

Rachel, as you can see, Jenn quite regularly blames her shoe purchases on me. I’ll be your fall guy/girl, too, LOL!

      • Yay! Got back from the store with two new pairs of shoes, one of which is Vera Wang (um, yeah, totally 75% off at Kohls, otherwise there is no way I could afford that). And my husband totally picked them out. Love that man. Thanks for the excuse for new shoes! :-)

  5. Angie T says:

Ahhh, shoes. I used to love to watch Sex and the City partly for the story lines, but definitely for the fashions and the shoes! I will be waiting for the shoe tweets fron ShoeCon. A fine pair of shoes are like a work of art and should be seen. :)
