When we hate…
When we hate, a piece of us dies with each thought.
When we hate, the good in other’s souls leaks from our hearts.
When we throw disgust around,
words like deadly bullets,
like knives,
we kill
with each stinging syllable.
Don’t hate.

Thanks for taking the time to say this.
Amen. Whether the perceived grievance is big or small, hatred is a waste of energy.
Well said.
Thank you for this post. An excellent reminder of what is important in this life.
It is lucky that more people didn’t die. But for the actions of a few brave and quick thinking people, things could have been even worse. The hate speech in this country is getting out of hand and those using it don’t want to take responsibility, It is past time that civility comes back into the picture.
I agree, Pat. That’s part of my goal with the blog this year. There’s been a lot of negative in the publishing world the last year. A lot of hate and blame and people enjoying watching the show while folks tear at each other.
Whether I’m talking about Dorchester Publishing or any of my other publishers or my teenager or shoes, I’m keeping it positive.
We’ll start the change here and see how far it goes ;o)
So true…
