When you fill out your Christmas and Hanukkah cards this year, send one to this address:
A Recovering American Soldier, c/o Walter Reed Army Medical Center, 6900 Georgia Avenue, NW Washington, DC 20307-5001.
If everyone sends one card, think of how many cards these soldiers could get to bring up their spirits ♥

Excellent idea! I’m putting this on my FB page, too
My son’s hockey team needs a community service project. This is perfect. I will get them to send cards!
Just posted this to my FB page… What a great idea!
I’ve been doing this for several years now and I agree it is a wonderful thing to take part in. We owe our servicemen so much. (I am married to one.)
I am sending one right now. Great idea!!
All done!! I sent two
I have done this for a few years now. My son was in the Navy. I would send extra cards to the carrier he was on as well as several to Walter Reed. I have 2 nephews in the Army and they got me started on it.
I try to get as many people as I can to send a card to Walter Reed. It is a wonderful thing to do. Giving is so much better then receiving, especially giving to those who sacrifice so much for us.
Merry Christmas to all. My Christmas wish is for Safe and Wonderful holidays for all.
I hope many followed through on this. It would be nice if service personnel were flooded with cards.
I got a very late start with my cards this year and when I read this, I jumped at the chance to send a recovering soldier a card of Thanks and Hopes for Positive Recovery. Thanks for letting me know about the opportunity.
What a great idea.
