Dream on! Exploring the Sleeping Mind’s Messages

That’s the title of my Romantic Times “Behind The Scenes” article, published in the RTBookclub magazine on newsstands NOW! Can you tell I’m excited ;o) Can’t help it–it’s so much fun to see my love of dream theory making it, loud and proud, into the real world:

Technically, it’s in the September issue, but RT puts it out in early August. Just received my copy last week. Squeeee! Be sure to check out my discussion of all things Dream Theory at your local Barnes & Noble and Borders…

Dream Themes–What’s Your Sleep “Legacy”?

But, even more importantly, let’s talk Dreams ;o)

No, I don’t remember all my dreams. But I do react to them. Every day. Without fail. It was only a  matter of time before I wrote something that allowed me to study dreams more closely, and them play with them in wicked ways, LOL! My Legacy series launches with psychic twins whose abilities are being manipulated to use dreams/nightmares/psychotic daydreams as remote-triggered, direct-strike weapons. Bwahahahaha…

No, that’s not at all what my dreams are like. No spooky darkness or evil sinister images that start to bleed into my everyday life. But my moods change as my dream cycles do, that much I know. Or is it my dreams shifting to reflect the energy and challenges in my waking world? I’ve learned to focus on relaxing as I slip into sleep, if my life has been particularly stressful. It’s second-nature for me to remember when I’m waking mid-dream and to let the almost-there images flow back through me, so I can listen and understand what my mind’s working through while I sleep. August Dark Legacy Contests!!!

It’s hear, it’s hear!!! August is here!!!

Which means Dark Legacy will be out on the 25th, and there will be fun stuff happening all month and into September. A blog tour, a book signing in New York City, appearances at Dragon Con and TONS more… Including a new scavenger hunt and prizes being awarded all month long.

For prizes, let’s see…there will be one of the awesome Harlequin “retro” bags from July’s RWA Nationals, more Dark Legacy ARCs, the Dream Flutters necklace spotlighted in my “Dream On!” article from August’s Romantic Times magazine, RT BookReviews (pictured below), an XOXO “butterfly” purse and accessories to celebrate my butterfly logo, that I’ll be givign away at my guest blogs, and for a grand prize–a COACH Purse!!!

We’ll be talking dreams all month, since that’s the basis for Dark Legacy. Can’t wait to hear more about everyone’s dream realities, and to discuss the theories that inspired my “legacies” ;o) Leave comments for each scavenger hunt question/dream discussion to be in the running for each prize.

Keep checking back to catch each topic–you never know when I’ll be awarding a prize, LOL. Except for the Coach Purse–that one will be awarded on the 25th! You know, when I’m flying up to my BOOK SIGNING IN LINCOLN CENTER’s BARNES AND NOBLE!!! Someone pinch me. It’s still a little hard for me to believe this is really happening.

July’s unexpected family responsibilities, on top of vacation and RWA National Conference commitments, ran away with most of my free time.
