My happy corner is truly a corner. It is in a recliner in the corner of my den, where I can sit and look out our picture window and watch the birds enjoy our two birdbaths and the birdhouses we have in our backyard. There are flower beds in view and a huge spread of green grass where happy squirrels scamper about hunting pecans from two pecan trees in our backyard, also. Watching our yellow Lab deciding whether or not it is worthwhile to send the squirrels scattering or just to relax and let them be. Further in the distance, I can "watch the world go by" as there is a very commercially-busy street there that brings in huge trucks from throughout the U.S. Just reading the company and product names on the sides of the trucks can set me to imagining what it would be like to visit the many towns and states
from which those truck drivers have come. It's like traveling the U.S. while relaxing in a corner of my own little world...and being within steps of our kitchen and refrigerator. Air conditioning. Snacks when needed. Books within easy reach. Heaven!

My happy corner is all my favorite things - computer, books, a view of the outside. I love to sit, listen to iTunes on the computer, read a little, play on the computer a little, gaze at the birds at my bird feeder outside, and enjoy my weekend.
I've sent a pic of my office - though you can't see my view of the outside. I can see my lovely crepe myrtle tree in my front yard, and the street I live on - where I can watch my neighbors go by :o)

Patricia, I tried to follow the link, but no dice. I think it's missing your initial server address.

Try emailing it to me, and I'll post it ASAP! Thanks for sharing ;o) It sounds like an amazing place to read ;o)

My Happy Corner is anywhere I can sit and read. When I was a kid I would go sit on the hill behind our house , let the wind blow around me and just look at the lake and the mountains. Right now we are renovating a victorian farm house - have been for 17 years. There are no happy corners inside - we still have boxes piled all over and more clutter than I want to claim. I guess that is why a book anywhere works for me. /Users/johnbarraclough/Pictures/iPhoto Library/Modified/2009/Jun 6, 2009/DSC00091.JPG
OK, I took a picture of my porch and have tried to send it to you. I have no idea if this is how you do it, so all you might get is the line printed above. Will try to email it.
In warm weather, this is my favorite place to sit and relax, think, and read. There is always a breeze, the sunsets can be beautiful and I can listen to my peacocks (of course, you can hear them anywhere!). BE HAPPY!
